Battletech Compatible Large Orbital Drop Pod!

Since the dawn of time, we've been dropping stuff from the sky for wars sake.  Have your hand at it and drop some hot metal into your scene!

Large orbital drop pod is made of 2 interconnecting pieces which holds your surprise inside.  This size will NOT hold large assault mechs like Bullshark, King Crab, etc.  But it will hold most heavy mechs, depending on the style (running, torso-twist, etc) and where you have placed the mech on the hex mount.  

Game play…home-grown rules to follow, but some simple ways to integrate this piece is:

1) where and when it lands - roll for quadrant on map, if there is a friendly or foe, roll to see if you hit them, incur decided damage for drop pod falling on Mech's head + displacement.

2) Does it land "well" or does it crash? If it crashes, one extra round to "get out" and some amount of damage to mech payload.

3) Once it lands, 2 movement points to get out. Rear of Pod acts as armor.

Battletech compatible SRM Tank!

Close cousin to the LRM Tank, the SRM variant replaces the turret with multiple SRM-6 pods.  Armed with targeting and guidance, this close-in vehicle can provide short-ranged counter-fire and suppressive machine gun fire.

The LRM Tank......tactically significant.....questionable. But who doesn't love 80 missiles strapped to the back of the turtle!? Based off the original, this design makes the missile tubes clear and ~equivalent to Mech figure missile launcher size. I've also added some short range weapons since this thing is a sitting duck close in. We play these as defensive position fire support with X reloads (your rules). This comes as a set of two tanks.

Just some playing around with a concept.  The base of the firing unit.

11 Hex variant: Large

This is not an "in-canon" item.  We play a scenario where the objective is to capture/kill a fortified artillery emplacement.  Also, in campaign ops, this long range plasma unit gets a roll for damage of off/on mechs.  As the team approaches, random mortar fire falls on the offense (or defense if not careful).  THIS is that emplacement.  Lots of different angles you could play this item.
