3D printed frames for various colored fiberboard hex pieces for your Battletech missions.
Tired of the same terrain on you game board? Want to be able to change things up, but not have a mess of pieces everywhere? This modular/modifiable Hex map terrain set will allow you to not only dictate where your terrain rests, but the contents of those terrain pieces. By using different colored Hex cutouts, you can alter the configuration of the provided frames to suit your gaming needs. I had a hard time finding this solution for my own games and it has made a great improvement to the variety and complexity of the terrain sets offered in our scenarios.
Note: Right now I only offer the following colored hexes:
Light Green (Light woods)
Dark Green (Dark woods)
Light Blue (Water level 0)
Blue (Water level 1)
Dark Blue (Water level 2)
Olive (~ same color as hex map to indicate no terrain in the space)
Brown (~ same color as hex map to indicate no terrain in space - desert)
Moss green
Dark Gray (Heavy Smoke/Rubble)
Light Gray (Light Smoke/Rubble)
Red (Fire/molten ground)
The primary cost in this item lies in the fiberboard Hexes, they are not cheap! The quality is good and should sustain persistent wear.
Package No. 1 includes: #1 Terrain Prints (9 pcs) 20 Light Blue Hexes 10 Dark Blue Hexes 20 Light Green Hexes 10 Dark Green Hexes 10 Olive Hexes (looks like plain map color for hexes you don't want a tree or water)
Package No. 2 includes #2 Terrain Prints (7 pcs - one very long piece that is good for rivers!) 20 Light Blue Hexes 10 Dark Blue Hexes 20 Light Green Hexes 10 Dark Green Hexes 10 Olive Hexes

As with all FDM PLA prints, there will be some texture on the tiles (lines, etc). I print these at a "good" quality - they are more than adequate for their intended use. I will trim the sides to remove any extra pieces.
