Battletech compatible large turret variant: Missile Archer
The Missile Archer is a shadow of its mobile cousin. Armed with dual LRM-20s and dedicated Artemis pods. Pin point accuracy hurling missiles down-range, this heavy hitter is sure to wipe out any scouting mechs. To prevent this unit from being overwhelming, check out the house rules below.
Largest of the Level 1 group, the large turret brings the pain! Matched to the most menacing medium size to heavy mechs, these standalone units offer great suppressive fire to a defensive position. Employed on both ends of battlefield, these units, lower in BV, provide a great alternative for filling the gap with a light mech. These units have sufficient organic armor to last well into the skirmish. Equipped as a C3 Command Unit, these smarter units can control 3 C3 slave units (Small / Medium Turrets). Sporting their own power supply, these units use a compact footprint and exhibit a reduced tactical weakness, but they cannot deliver a full alpha-strike without augmented power.
