Battletech compatible large turret variant: Armored Missile Archer
The Missile Archer is a shadow of its mobile cousin. Armed with dual LRM-20s and dedicated Artemis pods. Pin point accuracy hurling missiles down-range, this heavy hitter is sure to wipe out any scouting mechs. To prevent this unit from being overwhelming, check out the house rules below.
Largest of the turret series, these up-armored units can stand toe-to-toe with most light and medium mechs. Even as a static structure, these up-armored units can take a beating before sustaining infrastructure damage. Employed on both ends of battlefield, these units, higher in BV, provide a great alternative for filling the gap with a medium to heavy mechs. These units with increased armor will last until the bitter end of the fight. Equipped as a C3 Command Unit, these smarter units can control 3 C3 slave units (Small / Medium Turrets). Sporting their own power supply, these units use a compact footprint and exhibit a reduced tactical weakness, but they cannot deliver a full alpha-strike without augmented power.
